Hickory Hollow Open House Part 2

Is anyone up for another home tour today?
If so come on in!
Welcome
to my

~French Country Kitchen ~
The fancy edge trim is called a French Cornice
Quite fitting for my French Country Kitchen!

Remember my Garage Sale Hutch that I painted this summer?
I have moved her into the kitchen next to my panty.
In my first pictures, I had Grandma B's antique washstand there.
I moved that to a corner in the living room. I just needed to have that hutch in the kitchen!

~*~
I did a bit of grocery shopping yesterday and brought home this precious little white Cyclamen. I saw it last week, but decided not purchase this little frivolity. Yesterday she just hopped in my cart, honest she did! She was only $5, bless her heart. I pulled out a little white tureen and found her a nice little sunny spot on the breakfast room table.

Now remember today is the last day, to enter yourself in my Susan Branch/Victoria Magazine giveaway. I am going to do the number generator thingy tomorrow!
Off to bake up a loaf of dilly bread for dinner!

P.S. I had someone ask where I purchased the Cinnamon Chips? Ya'all are goin' love me...I bought them at the commissary on an Air Force Base. I am really hoping that you will be able to find them at your local grocery store. What's strange, is usually the commissary doesn't carry the unusual goodies!

  8. I am a thrifty girl but I do check out the fancy stores at the end of the season plus I heard on the news that there would be incredible deals due to the economy. Sometimes you get lucky other times you turn around and walk out. Don't let these stores scare you away from finding a great bargain! Again...your house is amazing!

I think you've inspred me to paint my old hutch that I have had for nearly 35 years. It was unfinished furniture and I put the finish on it. Come to think of it, it has held up pretty well!! More pictures, please and ENJOY your new home!!!

  33. Jill,
I just love your blog. When I went on and that song was playing, "Sing", I cried - my mom used to sing that to me when I was little. I think I was meant to find you. I added myself as a follower to your blog and I hope you pay me a visit. I love your beautiful kitchen and that hutch next to your "panty" (hehe - you spelled "pantry" wrong - LOL!!). You sound like a wonderful person and I hope we can keep in touch through "Blogland"!.
    God Bless,
    Kim
